Wedding Hairstyle Tips

Here are some great wedding hairstyle tips
  • Decide on a hairstyle before you choose your veil or headpiece.
  • Play with a few styles before finalizing your look.
  • Visit your hairstylist at least six months before the wedding to set up a hair care regimen.
  • Touch up your existing hair color two weeks before the wedding.
  • Prepare a hair emergency kit for reception touch ups.
  • Think about whether your hairstyle will hold up at an outdoor wedding.
  • Match your hairstyle to your gown in degree of formality.
  • Consider extensions and hairpieces to add volume for special hairstyles.
  • Plan special hairstyles for the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner.
  • Get a final trim two weeks before the wedding.
  • Wear a buttoned-down shirt to your wedding day hair session.
  • Talk to your hairstylist to set a shampooing and conditioning schedule for the days before the wedding.
  • Invest in a good haircut. You'll need less styling if you have a good foundation.
  • Decide if you will remove your veil after the ceremony. You'll need to adjust your hairstyle accordingly. (from hairstyle tips)

Cheap vs Affordable

Cheap DJ Service Vs Affordable Quality DJ Service

When shopping for a DJ Service don't let the price be your main objective. There are many reasons why some services are offered at what seems like an incredibly low price, some of those reasons are: No business license, No Liability Insurance, No industry affiliations, No back-up equipment, No back-up personnel, equipment not meant for commercial use, limited or no experience, etc, etc. Take a close look at their marketing materials; business cards, brochures, letterhead, envelopes and professional appearance in general. You only get one shot at making a first impression, if no effort is made to impress you in securing your business, you may be in for a disappointment on the day of the reception.

Make sure that you are receiving quality service at an affordable price. Not just a cheap price because the vendor you are dealing with doesn't have any overhead, and is only DJ'ing as a hobby on the side. Ask for at least a couple of letters of reference, and ask about the kind of equipment they use (some professional/commercial brands are: Mackie Speakers and Mixers, JBL Speakers, Shure, Audio-Technica, Microphones, LED American DJ Specialty Lights for the dance floor, Stanton, Numark, and American Audio CD Players and Mixers. There are other brands but this is a good start. Be sure to ask how long the company has been in business and how many events they perform at per year. Ask them what might happen if one of their amplifiers, or speakers break down (will your reception be over or how long will it be down until the replacement equipment will arrive).

Things to look for in a contract. The customer's name and address; The venue's address (celebration site); The vendor's name, address, telephone, fax, email, and cell phone number if at all possible; Day and date of the event, start and end time of the event. The vendor's arrival time to set-up (should be at least one hour before scheduled start time). The contract should also address the availability of additional hours past the contracted time and the rate per hour. The contract should disclose the "Cancelation Policy," the amount of deposit required and balance due date. What the remedy might be if the vendor is unable to perform on the day of the event. Any special requirements by the vendor or the customer should also be addressed: (example) Customer requires and requested a wireless microphone (charge if any), the vendor requires a banquet table to set up equipment, etc.

There are so many aspects to a wedding ceremony and reception that most people don't even consider or bother with, and they really shouldn't have to, if they hire the right vendor. Most people only get married once in a lifetime, and shouldn't have to learn all about wedding receptions the hard, and costly way. Ask your entertainment vendor to assist in drafting the event timeline, and to coordinate with the other vendors for best results.

Create An Online Wedding Invitation

Everyone wants their wedding to be the center of attention, but many times we are competing with all kinds of events. Friends and family may have multiple other weddings to attend during the year, plus numerous graduations, reunions, and other family gatherings.

In order to make your wedding stand out and make it easier for your guests to remember, I suggest also creating an online invitation on sites like Socializr or Evite in addition to your standard wedding invitations. With most people these days using online calendars like Google Calendar, iCal, or Outlook these online services allow your guests to easily add the event to their calendar with a click of a button.

Furthermore, with these online invitations you can include all the important information for your guests. In one centralized location they can find directions, links to hotels, and most importantly gift registries. All the resources and information a guest could want all in one email and the best part is you can easily send out email reminders leading up to the event.

Email us your questions.

Music Makes The Event

Have you ever been to a wedding where the music was so bad that you wished there had been none?

You certainly don't want anyone to remember your wedding this way, so put some careful thought into this part of the wedding reception. Recent bridal magazine surveys have determined that guests will remember the entertainment at your wedding reception, more than any other single item so keep in mind that the choices you make for your wedding reception entertainment are critical. Do not trust this day to just any entertainment company. Always remember that playing the right music is very important, but playing the right music at the right time is crucial to the success of your event.

Remember that the right music adds a welcoming ambiance to the event. The style and mood of your event will be enhanced by your selection of background and reception music. Work closely with the Planning Director making sure that your expectations are met and it all starts with your music choices. When you contract with Mr. Lobbo Pro DJ Service all of the personnel from the technicians that will deliver, setup and take down the equipment to the DJ/MC, and the Planning Director, all are working towards one single goal; The Customer's and their Guests' Satisfaction.

Many brides like working with a single system operator because they feel comfortable working all the way from the contract negotiations, to the delivery of service at the reception with the same individual. What I just mentioned is the positive aspect of dealing with a single system operator. On the other hand most wedding receptions are planned and contracted on average 6 months in advance, and anything can happen and usually does, from family emergency to illness, or vehicle accident. When you contract with a multi-system operator (which Mr. Lobbo is), there is always backup personnel, and backup equipment including delivery vehicles. In the almost 17 years that we have been in business, we have always been the first to arrive and last to leave an event.

We provide DJ Entertainment for all types of events. We have performed for the NFL (Seahawks Tailgate party) Intel and Microsoft Holiday Parties (1,300 guests in attendance) but if there is one area we excel at, it would have to be wedding receptions. We pride ourselves in our knowledge and experience and being able to share as much information as a bride is willing to solicit from us, but we never tell a bride how to run her reception. With Mr. Lobbo Pro DJ Service, the customer is always in charge, and we are there to provide our expertise to the level needed or desired. Our commitment to you is simple, "Every phase of your reception where entertainment is concerned will have your pre-approval." On the night of the event you will enjoy yourself with your family and friends, knowing that your reception is being run per the agreed plan.
